GAME MASTER / GAME HOST

Hours:

Zero Hour contract - Simply let us know your availability 14 days ahead and we can work with that (Expected 8 to 20 hours a week)

Wage:

National minimum (or living depending on age) applies during training, raising by 25p/hr when training is completed. Reviewed annually.

Working Times:

Hours will be offered as and when games are booked, a minimum of 90 minutes is paid in the event of a cancelled booking or if you are on standby but no games come in.

Working Days:

We are open Thursday to Sunday but can allocate more days if the new gamemaster would like to increase potential earnings.

What does the job entail?

We do so much more than sit and watch games, we are always busy with things to do,

We will teach you these thing but here is some of the stuff you will do (but is not limited too);

• Greeting Guests and taking payment

• Getting into character to give customers a great game intro

• Monitoring games and providing the relevant clues on demand to enhance their experience

• Working and using the booking system, computer systems, casting system and all relevant game puzzles

• Fixing and diagnosing puzzle or prop malfunctions

• Resetting games for the next customers

• Taking Exit photo's and encouraging reviews and repeat bookings

• Responding to customer enquiries and phone calls

• Cleaning like Cinderella to ensure our business is kept clutter free and pristine for a great impression

• Being an expert of evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency

• And literally so much more!

Who are we looking for?

We need someone who is keen to learn and can work quickly on their feet, you should be;

• Motivated and can work well both alone and under pressure

• Be genuinely happy in your service skills, keeping life outside and bringing in positive vibes is perfect

• Able to use and has an understanding on computers and type well

• A person who has charisma and a presence in the room. Being able to gain attention in a crowded environment is a great bonus

• Able to get to work without relying on public transport

• Flexible in your working hours, if you are placed on standby and no games book, we pay a 1.5 hour standby fee too.
